Data Map Illustration
I have a background in science and understand data, which helps me illustrate it in unique ways. This map of Montana counties uses color and patterns to display the data allowing viewers a much clearer visual rather than just another table or graph in a paper.
Rental Home Floor Plan Illustration
I’ve worked with real estate agents and property managers to create illustrations of home floor plans. These are an effective way to show buyers or renters a space without images. I personally measure the spaces and create the illustrations to scale.
Retirement Home Floor Plan Illustrations
A large retirement/assisted living community worked with me to create new floor plans for each of their room options. Custom Horse Head Illustration for Sign
This client came to me with a rough sketch of two horse heads, back-to-back, and discussed what he was after. The end product was just a sticker he wanted for his vehicle. Using his initial sketch and input I created this illustration which was exactly what he was hoping for.
Coloring Page Illustrations for North Dakota State Park
These custom illustrations were created for the Dakota Prairie Grasslands and the USFS in that area. They were hosting an event with families and wanted some fun educational options for children.
Kinship Icon Design
The Kinship Navigator Program at Montana State University requested an icon to represent their program. The colors and shapes of this icon portray a common kinship family type- grandparent caring for grandchildren.
Musical Instrument Icon Illustrations
We’ve been very involved with some orchestras over the years. This icon set has come in handy for use in programs and other areas to mark sections.
Custom Child Illustration
This was just a fun personal project featuring a favorite cartoon- Scooby-Doo and the Gang. I used a stock photo base and added Laurel to the illustration, using very similar graphic styles. Something like this cannot be done for commercial use due to copy write laws-this is just an example of illustration styles.
Cooking Method Illustrations
These three illustrations were created to show the cooking methods using cohesive elements (the turkey, oven, etc.) so they make a set. The illustrations were used by MSU Extension for use in resources on Food and Nutrition.

USFS Custom Illustration This illustration was created for the USFS. They were looking for a custom designed product to share as thank-you gifts for volunteers. The first image shows the illustration art. The second shows the art in place on a coffee cup.
